Arugula Growing Tips

It is usually a good practice to start Arugula plants closer together, thin the weakest plants and allow the strongest to thrive. Use the thinned plants as your earliest harvest in salads or as a garnish.

If growing in heat of summer, plant in part shade or use a shade cloth to delay bolting. It is also wise to keep Arugula very well-watered, as it tends to have a shallow root system that is susceptible to drying out.

Culinary Uses of Arugula

Commonly used in salads or on sandwiches.

Arugula Medicinal Uses

Arugula was used as an aphrodisiac by both the Romans and Egyptians. The oil produced by pressing the seeds (Taramina oil) is still widely used today. Such uses include hair growth serums, dandruff control, lice and parasite treatment, as well as a topical anti-inflammatory.

Harvesting Crops

Harvest Arugula continuously for a long lasting and nutritious plant. Cut leaves when they are 2 - 4 inches and leave the center of the plant in-tact. It will continue producing and increase your yield per plant.

Harvesting Seed

Allow the Arugula to bolt and start producing seed heads. Once the seed heads have matured and the plant is no longer growing, cut the seed head stalks and dry until seeds become too hard to dent with your fingernail.

Store in a cool dry place until next season.

(Tip: Most Arugula seed will remain viable for six years, even more if you are using proper storage methods)

Nice shirt, great price
Size: Large, Color: Royal Blue
Very nice shirt. Has a soft, flowy (?) hand to it. Not starchy like a lot of oxford button-down collar shirts. Second one I’ve bought. Nice

Great shirts.
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
I have 10. These are great, stylish shirts especially for the price. I usually wear between size L-XL slim fit (Banana Republic). I’m 6’ 200 lbs medium athletic build and L fits perfectly. With a quick press, they do not wrinkle easily. I get plenty of compliments.

Runs large, not slim fit
Size: Medium, Color: Green
The shirt definitely runs large like all the other reviews say. I usually wear a large, but the medium fit much better. The shirt is definitely not slim fit though.

Great fit and look
Size: Medium, Color: Grey
Husband loved it! Great fit and he said it was comfortable. Can be worn untucked or tucked in pants. He wore it with jeans and a blazer untucked for a graduation party and looked perfect for the occasion.

Tight in Chest for Broad Chested Men
Size: XX-Large, Color: Green
Quality is okay but not great. The biggest problem was the size. It was too tight for my broad chest. Ended up giving it away. I bought some similar shirts from a different supplier that I didn’t have issues with.
